The infographic summarizes the readiness of 37 countries to achieve economic transformation, i.e., how ready a country is to move towards a full integration of social, environmental and institutional targets into their economic systems over the next five years. The data is taken from “The Global Competitiveness Report 2020” by World Economic Forum.
Finland ranks the first with a score of 69.9, followed by Sweden with a score of 68.5 and Denmark with a score of 66.5. China achieves the top in Asia, ranked the 5th in the world. Australia ranks the 14th with a score of 62, followed by Japan and the U.K.
The scores are given according to 11 priorities. One of the 11 priorities is to upgrade infrastructure to accelerate the energy transition and broaden access to electricity and ICT (information and communications technology), where Estonia ranks the first with a score of 99.7.
